Tlingit vs. Haida

Independent short, modeled and animated in Maya, textured in Deep Paint, rendered with mental ray.

This was an exercise to see what I could do in three weeks flat.

The Tlingit and the Haida are indigenous tribes in the pacific northwest, and I wanted to design some models in shapes suggested by their art styles. The orca and the bear figure prominently in their artwork, though neither tribe is specifically affiliated with either animal, and they are not enemies.
